Preparations of the 58th International Engineering Fair at the Brno Exhibition Centre started in a positive atmosphere of a growing economy and industrial production. On 3 to 7 October 2016, special technology trade fairs IMT, FOND-EX, WELDING, and PROFINTECH PLASTEX will also be held together with MSV. In total, approximately 1,600 exhibiting companies and 75,000 visitors are expected to attend.
MSV as the largest industrial fair in Central Europe shows new developments in technology. Last year there was a successful premiere presentation of the Industry 4.0 initiative, the fourth industrial revolution. The transformation of production, logistics and business processes associated with massive robotics and digitizing was illustrated by an exhibition, which, according to the survey, was seen by two-thirds of all visitors to the fair. The Industry 4.0 theme also remains a key one for MSV 2016, where it will again be featured in a targeted presentation and the supporting programme. At the same time, the traditional cross-sectional AUTOMATION project will be held, emphasizing measurement, control, automation and control technology across all trade fair disciplines.
This year will be exceptional by the large participation of companies from China – the partner country of MSV 2016. Last year, the Chinese province of Hebei was introduced as a special guest of MSV; this time we expect an even higher participation of both the Chinese exhibitors and representatives of government and business circles. In addition to neighbouring countries, MSV partner countries included for example India in the past. This year's partnership with China is a long-planned project, which corresponds to the growing interest of Chinese companies in the Czech and Central European market.
Another highlight of the MSV 2016 will feature Startups – a presentation of emerging innovative companies and projects that are primarily focused on the use of information and communication technology in engineering and manufacturing.
At the same time, other successful projects such as the traditional MSV JobFair, an international meeting of businessmen Contact-Contract or the presentation of university research Transfer of Technologies and Innovations will be repeated.
