International Franchise Seoul 2016 (IFS), organized by COEX and Reed Exhibitions, and held at COEX Seoul, was a major success. From March 3 to March 5, the event hosted 131 exhibitors and saw a substantial attendance of 17,079 visitors. Apart from major international brands, promising local franchisors like Ogada, dal.komm and Choroc Maeul were well-represented at the show. Trade visitors including potential investors and franchisors came from China, Taiwan, Singapore, Japan, Hong Kong, Thailand, Spain, Australia, New Zealand, the Czech Republic, Saudi Arabia, Malaysia, Morocco and the U.S.
“We’re thrilled to provide a major exhibition for the key players in the Asian franchise, retail and chain-store market through IFS,” said Paul Beh, President of Reed Exhibitions Asia Pacific. “Reed Exhibitions is truly committed to enhancing this show with each edition. The positive feedback from customers and the success of IFS 2016 will drive us to continue to provide greater value for both exhibitors and visitors. We’re already seeing signs that IFS 2017 will be a record-breaking edition.”
IFS is South Korea’s largest international franchise show. The show immerses franchise enthusiasts and investors into a full, five-sense experience, where they come face-to-face with the entire spectrum of franchisers from multiple industries, including F&B, retail and services. The exhibition convenes, under one roof, start-ups and investors keen to identify Korean franchise brands, track emerging commercial trends and gather market information. For three value-packed days, participants in Franchise Seoul met over 130 top franchises, attended workshops and received expert advice on the best franchise opportunities in South Korea, and across Asia.
“International Franchise Seoul 2016 made a big impact in terms of both its scale and the content it provided to visitors and exhibitors. IFS is now the most distinguished of all Korea’s franchise shows. We’re placing a strong emphasis on internationalizing IFS 2017 even further, by focusing on attracting international franchise brands and designing programs to closely match the needs of franchisors and potential investors,” said Dong Suk Chun, Executive Director of COEX’s Convention & Exhibition Department.
IFS will return to COEX, Seoul from March 2 to March 4, 2017. For further information about IFS 2017, visitwww.franchiseseoul.com.
