Second TOS+H Expo: from May 8th to 11th in Istanbul

The exhibition for safety and health at the workplace in Istanbul “enters its second round” being held concurrently with the VIII. International Health and Occupational Safety Conference organised by the Turkish Ministry of Labour and Social Security. 

After the successful premiere of TOS+H Expo (Occupational Safety + Health Exhibition) Messe Düsseldorf and their local partner Tezulas Fuar are continuing their cooperation. TOS+H Expo 2014 posted very positive results registering 3,540 visitors and 90 exhibitors. From May 8th to 11th, 2016 TOS+H Expo will open its doors in Istanbul for the second time. Its concurrence with the VIII. International Health and Occupational Safety Conference held at the neighbouring Halic Congress Centre and organised by the Turkish Ministry of Labour and Social Security generates not only important synergies but also an all-encompassing marketplace and communication platform for safe and healthy working. Trade visitors can capitalize on both events, TOS+H Expo and the Occupational Safety Conference, to find out and network about the latest trends concerning the focal themes personal protection, health and security at the workplace. 

Due to the high number of gainfully employed people and the above-average economic growth, Turkey has become an attractive growth market for protective gear suppliers over the past few years. About 27 million employees mean a high application potential for personal protective equipment. 

In 2013 Turkey was the partner country of A+A, the leading international market platform for occupational safety and occupational medicine in Düsseldorf. Based on this partnership between Turkey and A+A, not only did the Turkish-German Occupational Health & Safety Dialogue develop but also an ongoing cooperation with the Turkish Ministry of Labour and Social Security. The Minister of Labour and Social Security, Faruk Celik, sees a clear improvement of safety levels at the workplace in the development of a prevention culture in companies. Kasim Özer, Director General for Occupational Health and Safety in the Ministry of Labour and Social Security stresses: “Establishing a prevention culture is an important challenge to be met when pursuing the aim of avoiding occupational accidents and diseases in Turkey.” 

In close cooperation with the local trade fair organiser Tezulas Fuar and Messe Düsseldorf, the organiser of A+A, a comprehensive market and knowledge platform was established with TOS+H EXPO and the International Occupational Health and Safety Conference. Both events provide important impulse for the further implementation of uniform standards for safety at the workplace. The aim is to drive a comparably high workplace quality everywhere and to anchor this as a success factor for companies’ competitive edge. 

The next A+A in Düsseldorf will be held from October 27th to 30th, 2015. As the leading global trade fair it showcases the complete gamut of products and services for personal protection, health at the workplace and the realization of smooth operations. 

The Turkish Occupational Safety + Health Exhibition (TOS+H Expo) will take place from May 8th to 11th, 2016 on the trade fair ground in front of the Halic Congress Center Istanbul.
