What are the new technologies in die casting? How are the processes and materials developing? What is happening on the users’ side? Questions like these will be one of the focal points at the International German Die Casting Congress, which will be held from 12 to 14 January 2016 at the EUROGUSS fair, exhibition centre Nuremberg. The conference is being jointly held by the Verband Deutscher Druckgießereien (VDD, Association of German Pressure Die-Casters) and the Bundesverband der Deutschen Gießerei-Industrie (BDG, Federal Association of the German Foundry Industry). The participants invited include representatives from foundries, the corresponding supplier industry, universities and institutes.
On each of the three days, trade fair visitors will have the opportunity to attend interesting presentations in the forum in Hall 6. The contributions will be simultaneously translated (German/English) and cover themes across the entire die-casting process chain. In addition to the classic themes on tool technology and the metallic materials and operating materials used in die casting, future-orientated aspects such as Industry 4.0 with its challenges in the die-casting sector will also be addressed. Expert speakers from the exhibiting companies will present their new products, innovations and deliver exciting insights into the possibilities of further process optimisation and automation. Die-casting technology is continuously further developing and moving forward. An impression here will also be provided by the presentations for the die-casting conference delivered by universities and research institutes. These ideas and impulses can be enlarged upon in the “Forschung, die Wissen scha(f)ft” (Research for Knowledge) special show in Hall 7 at the event. All interested visitors to the fair will be able to attend the 16th International German Die Casting Congress.
