Powder and bulk solids experts from around the world will once again converge on Nuremberg from 30 September till 2 October 2014. Over 700 exhibitors from more than 25 countries make POWTECH the world’s number one trade fair for processing, analysis and handling of powder and bulk solids. The event is the undisputed mecca for numerous powder and bulk solids processing industries, including chemical and pharmaceutical producers, manufacturers of foodstuffs and animal feed, processors of glass, ceramic and other minerals as well as plant engineers. The most important information and tips for visiting the trade fair are summarised below.
Wide-ranging supporting programme confirmed
Every day from 10 am to 4:30 pm, the Exhibitor Forum in Hall 4 will give industry specialists the opportunity to discuss the latest trends for processing powder and buIk solids. Highlights include the Explosion Protection Forum, a presentation series sponsored by the Ostwestfalen-Lippe University of Applied Sciences, the Innovation Award and the Solids Handling Forum.
Because explosion protection is a key issue in powder processing, the Explosion Protection Forum will provide updates on the latest statutory regulations and technological developments. It will include technical presentations, a panel discussion followed by a guided tour by the publisher of trade journal VERFAHRENSTECHNIK (process engineering), and live explosion demonstrations in the exhibition centre parklands.
On the opening day, the “Safe and energy-efficient handling of high-quality solids” Forum hosted by the publisher of ‘cav’, ‘dei’ and ‘Pharmaproduktion’ magazines will include six presentations on the special features and benefits of various conveying and dosing systems for applications in the chemical, pharmaceutical and food industries. The focus will be on mechanical and pneumatic conveying systems, product and process safety and energy efficiency. Requirements for cleaning, hygiene, contamination and explosion protection will be explored in-depth.
