Taiwan International Water Show-News

The fourth edition of Taiwan International Water Show 2017 (Aqua Taiwan), will open its doors to visitors and buyers on September 13 - 15 at Kaohsiung Exhibition Center. This event expects up to 250 booths that attract around 3,000 domestic and international professional buyers.

The annual event, organized by Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA), is themed "smart water technology" this year due to continual upgrades in smart water technology sector, which is on the cutting edge of the global water industry, and due to increasing market demand.

The show will focus on holding professional seminars and providing in-depth market analysis of businesses and future developments for the latest technologies such as image analytics, smart water network, smart water meter and smart water solutions.

This year Aqua Taiwan is made up of six exhibition sections: Water Treatment, Transport & Storage, Water & Sanitary Ware, Water Purification Equipment & Drinking Water, Process Control Technology & Process Automation, Public Sector & Related Service, presenting a clear outlook of the industry's industry chain from top to bottom.

Last year's major exhibitors include the Ministry of Economic Affairs' Water Resources Bureau, the Ministry of the Interior's Construction and Planning Agency, National Cheng Kung University, Chung Yuan Christian University, Industrial Technology Research Institute, Energy Management System, China Ecotek, TankPac, Walrus and YEN SUN.

The Osaka Chamber of Commerce Industry, which attended the show for the first time last year, will again show up this year to exhibit hydrotherapy pool products. Mainland China's cross-strait themed pavilion will present a varied selection of water treatment products.

With support from both domestic and international industries and academia, Aqua Taiwan has become the best platform for marketing water industry-related products in Asia.

Aside from exhibition and seminars, a series of important events will be held throughout the show, including the 1-on-1 Procurement Meeting, GPA Government Procurement Meeting and Hot Product Launches. Meanwhile, the Kaohsiung City Government will also host the Southern Taiwan Forum on Water Management.

Governments around the world are placing more importance on water resources, continuously building related industries and investing in large-scale construction projects such as Singapore and Israel's foray into desalinated and reclaimed water, China's initiatives to prevent water pollution, Africa's water infrastructure and Thailand's water supply network.

Taiwan's regulations on water infrastructure – Reclaimed Water Resources Development Act, Water Supply Act and Water Act – were revised last year and thus provide business opportunities and energy for the domestic water industry.
